 Chief
Manager, Geology, Hindustan Zinc limited, has made significant contribution
to the discovery of a concealed lead-zinc ore body in West
Mochia Mine in Zawar area, Rajasthan, by conceptualizing the exploration
strategy and interpretation of structure, thereby leading to
augmentation of reserve by 10 million tonnes having about 7% lead-zinc
content and thus enabling 1-lindustan Zinc Limited to sustain its
production level.
In recognition of his
significant contribution to the discovery of concealed lead-zinc ore
body by conceptual approach, Shri Moti Singh Samar is conferred the
National Mineral Award for 1991-1992.
